Celia’s Story
I met Corina through a mutual friend before I got pregnant. From her calmness and energy, I knew from that moment that she was the one to help us. I wanted to have a different experience than we had with our first baby.
     I had never met any woman who had had a baby at home or who believed that pregnancy and birth were some of the most natural and friendly experiences that a woman can have.  Before meeting Corina, I had heard nothing but the bad experiences that we can all suffer: c-sections, epidurals, pitocin, sitting for so long in a waiting room just to have a 10 minutes appointment with a doctor and being treated as if pregnancy is a symptom or a problem that has nothing to do with you. I was afraid of all of that, and we had also suffered with my first baby who was born in a hospital in New York, with a doctor, and with lots of drugs and strangers.
     We didn´t want to be part of that same system for a second time, and we wanted everything to be fresh, magical and unique. That was exactly what we found with Corina. Birth is an incredible moment in the river of life of the mother and the child... not something to just get over with as quickly as possible.
     Corina´s strength comes from a powerful belief in the strength of women. In her own way, she reminds you always of what a woman is capable of. During the process she brings the whole family together, by empowering every member. She was my friend, my guide, and I can’t think of any other way to have a child.
